Elizabeth's Second Birthday

Today we celebrated Elizabeth's second birthday.  Lots of family, lots of friends, lots of cake and we shouldn't leave out the mound of gifts for Elizabeth. Everyone seemed to have a good time, especially the birthday girl!


Elizabeth's birthday theme was monkeys so the invitations, decorations and even the cake matched.

Elizabeth found the birthday cake to be as tasty as it was perfectly decorated.

After cake, she was ready to open her gifts.

Thanks to all who attended for sharing a wonderful time with our little princess!


Later, on her actual birthday, she had a little celebration at school with all of her school friends.

They even had monkey cupcakes that Elizabeth had taken to school to share with everybody.  They all seemed to enjoy them. (Well done, Amy)

She had a couple of very big fun days and I think she would have been happy with a couple more.  Happy birthday my little princess, we love you!

Swimming Lessons

This week we've had the kids at swimming lessons.  This year however, it has been at a new place.  Mrs. Lou Lee has been giving kids swimming lessons for many years and it shows.  She knows exactly how to handle the kids and what to teach them to keep them safe.  She's also a bit of a football coach when it comes to teaching swimming so she's no one to take lightly!


First thing the kids learned was that she was in charge!  After that was established, they learned how to swim.  Well, Owen mostly since Elizabeth is still slightly young. By the end of it, Owen swam the length of a serious pool totally by himself.  Taking breaths and all!  Elizabeth even swam, slightly assisted, under the water.


Mrs. Lou Lee pushed the kids and pushed them hard but they learned more in that one week than they have in all the years prior taking swimming lessons at a different place.

The 4th of July

Yesterday we were invited over to Nonna and Pop's house for a 4th of july cookout and party. They always do a backyard BBQ up right.  Burger, hot dogs, tons of sides, plenty of appetizers and it certainly doesn't hurt that my brother, Colton, is a bartender. 


The kids were playing together and having a great time.  They were certainly enjoying the food!

We were sad to go but once it got dark, we had a date with some fireworks so we told everyone good bye.  We definitely enjoyed it though!

Megalodon at the Natural Science Museum

Today, the whole family went to visit the Natural Science Museum.  They had a new exhibit called, "Megalodon" which is a prehistoric shark.  Plus, sharks and dinosaurs are right up Owen's alley.  We met up with Nonna, Pop, Aunt Kayla and Dylan and we all took a tour of the museum.  It's always enjoyable for the kids and we all had a good time. 

Backyard Beach

The backyard was transformed to a paradise hangout for the kids.  Green trees, tiki torches, a pool and a swank picnic area.  We spent most of the day outside and it was very enjoyable.

Christmas Day

Christmas finally came to our house and the kids were very happy about it. Santa spoiled the kids and Halle rotten but they appreciated it.

The kids even had plenty of surprises in their stockings.

They loved all of their presents and treats but the biggest surprise is when they found out we are going to Disney World.

Afterward, we all went over to Nonna and Pop's house for some Christmas company and some Christmas dinner. We all enjoyed seeing everyone and the kids enjoyed playing with Dylan.

Christmas Day

Today was Christmas day and everyone was very excited. The kids and Halle all got spoiled by Santa.

Their stockings were filled as well.

The biggest surprise of all was that they found out we are Disney World bound.

Afterward we went to Nonna and Pop's for more easter fun with cousins and other family.
