Visiting the Jackson Zoo

We took the kids to the zoo today and as always enjoyed it a lot.  They're still working on renovating the zoo but it does not interfere with the enjoyment.  

Recently, they had a new baby giraffe (named Ruby) born at the zoo and we were able to watch the baby run around and play.  

The kids were entertained with every animal they saw.  Especially since we hadn't been to the zoo since Elizabeth has been able to identify the animals and mimic their sounds.  Most of the animals were entertaining and photogenic.  This leopard, however, did not seem to be.

It was an all around good trip and as usual it was topped of with the train ride.

Halle's New Dog Bed

Halle got a new dog bed.  It's a big nice soft bed with her name embroidered on it.  When we put it into place, she loved it!  The kids liked it too.  Here's Elizabeth enjoying the bed with her older sister.

Update: 
I neglected to mention the far superior bed that had previously been bestowed upon her by her favorite Uncle years ago.  If this new bed gives her even an ounce of the enjoyment, comfort, and restful night's sleep that her old bed did then our purchase will have been worth it.
